Indy Afternoon Report

Stewart set the fastest lap times in both SX qualifying practices. Reed was second. KW, Ferry, and Tedesco look like the most likely to make the podium. The track has a cool step-up going into a turn that Stewart was getting sideways on, just a few feet high.

Short made his return, this afternoon, and fans of the Leatt Brace will be glad he's gone one and uses it.

Lites is going to be exciting. Townley is strong and set the fastest time in practice 2, while Dungey was fastest in the first. Also going fast- Lange, YOT's Morias and Goerke, Laninovich, the Motoworld guys (Jesseman and Brayton) and the Alessis and Zach Osborne. Watch for Brayton to have a really good race.

Weekend Window doesn't have a tally for the evening yet, but attendance was good and the racing was a blast.

Unwinding with RC

What do you do to unwind when an AMA supercross career like RC's is actually over? You go eat ice cream. Just minutes after RC finished a final supercross main that rivaled last year's High Point in intensity, he said goodbye to AMA supercross and went out to the pits to eat some Haagen Daas! That's was his crew's way of saying "the pressure is off."

Here's Jeannie and Big Rick moments before the start of the main at Orlando...

Orlando Pit Boards

RC went out in style with what Stewart called his best SX riding he's seen. Both said they were 100%.

Stewart's pit board - "1/2 way" (He said he didn't even look over)
RC's pitboard - 49.4/50.0 - indicating RC's time on that lap was a bit faster.
