Fridays are quiet at supercross these days. The day is for parking trucks, sound tests, and getting ready for Saturday. Many of the riders don't go to the stadium until Saturday.Still there are bikes to work on, people to see, and lots of displays to set up.
One visitor yesterday made Friday a lot of fun, Opee the Off Road Puppy. Opee sits on his rider's bike, wear a helmet, and seems to enjoy riding just like a human. We bumped into the canine superstar as he was going down to the show office in a quad to get his credential.
In racing news, DV is in for sure. RC is doing TV. Reed rode a little during the week for the first time. Travis Preston is having a solid season so far and ready for a podium.
In Lites, Pro Circuit has taken 5 out fo 6 podium spots so far! Payton has the unusual problem of a visiting part-time rider who is doing so well, maybe it makes sense to stay. So far the green side says they are sticking to the plan and Pourcel can stay full time in 2008.
Matt Lemoine is turning heads in Lites, watch for him to podium too.
