Test Driving the New "MX vs ATV Untamed" by THQ

The new MX vs ATV is called Untamed and will be out right before Christmas.

Perfect, you can buy yourself one then.

The new version of the greatest MX video game is much expanded and improved, making a great game even better.

Rainbow Studios and THQ are in Vegas for the US Open. They brought the new game out and it's just amazing in terms of bike handling and capability.

Elliot Olson, the lead game designer, likes to watch pro SX and MX and add moves and details he adapts from real races. He even will add little details like how RC whips vs how KW orStewart do it, and all three are possible in the new game. The new moves are so good and realistic, you can watch bikes do whips in practice and they look just like real rider and real bikes. It's that good.

Weekend Window got a quick test drive of the new game, and watched "The Nerd" doing laps (and hogging up the game!)

Some features and improvements (not a complete list)

-You can ride 2-strokes or 4 strokes and the engines behave accordingly.
-You can do full on whips and even scrubs. You can whip three ways.
-The bikes have 4 parameters you can adjust and test - Suspension, tires, engine tuning and brakes (front vs rear).
-There are minibikes (separate mini tracks) and supermoto again, and now it adds Endurocross!
-A first person view is added, it's real good.
-There are even photohounds at trackside that run away when you go off the track!
-A practice track is open to do trick on while you are waiting for games to load.

Overall, the control and feel of the game are more like a motocross bike than ever before.

This release will be a big deal, with the game ready for XBox360, PS3, your PSP and now Nintendo!
